Doorway Flash Entry
by Paul Nain
They say a beautiful woman stops time.
But as he turned away from the bar, there was no Hollywood-style freeze frame. Just a fleeting glance, an unspoken disclosure. Perhaps it was a concealed message in the ripple of her dark hair, or the curl of delicate fingers around a glass.
Without warning, she turned and caught his graceless gaze.
They say the eyes are the window to the soul. Kerrigan wasn't that subtle. He was about to make a doorway.

Paul, wow, very strong!
good one.... Melville, in his twist on the proverb, called the eyes the "gateway" to the soul, very close here.
I like it. :)
Delicate delivery with the art of subtlety. Another strong piece.
Thanks everyone!
