Doorway Flash Entry
by Simon Damberger

The pain was almost unbearable. He couldn't fill his chest with life sustaining oxygen because there wasn't any. It had all been pulled out of the corridor by the deep vacuum of space.

He hadn't heard his alarm clock. Now he was in the wrong place; wrong time. Probably a micrometeorite strike. Damn, if he only hadn't taken the job in the botanical bay.

Just a few more yards. The flashing light of the airlock beconed. Floating, he reached out.

Thanks. It sure is tough to fit a tale in 80 words, but a great exercise. All of the other entries I've read have been fantastic.
