Doorway Flash Entry

Clear and blue pills. Once a day. Only a trial, I chant to myself.
The doctor's words interrupt. "...won't knock him out unless it's not ADHD. It's a small dosage to see how he reacts. We'll reevaluate in thirty days."
I clutch the signed warrant and walk through the pharmacy's doors.
My hand trembles as I hand the prescription over.
The truth freezes me. How do you teach a six year old to swallow pills?
